Alfa Romeo Alfetta 2.0 GTV in the words of Jeremy Clarkson “you can't be a true petrol head if you haven’t owned an Alfa Romeo” this beauty ticks all the boxes.
This shape of the Alfetta GTV started out as a new range in 1976, the previous 1.8 was discontinued in favour of the 1600cc Alfetta GT 1.6 along with the introduction of the 2.0-litre engine for Alfetta GTV. At this time some new updates were introduced, such as a new front grille with horizontal slats and two series of vents beneath it. The GTV was distinguished from the 1.6 version by twin chrome whiskers in the grille, the iconic GTV was also added to ventilation vents on the C-pillar.
This beautiful late 1978 example, one of very few on the road today underwent a “full back to metal” restore in 1994, 26 years on is still a beautiful example. It's a pretty unique car as falls in a gap of changes, as comes fitted with steel wheels and a black vinyl interior, happily saving it from the upcoming “velour era” as all marques moved into the 80’s.
